Marcus: Hello ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to the UEW's Extreme Pain '99 Preview Show. Tonight we're going to take a look at the big SuperCard coming up, and also some of the special stipulations in some of the matches.
Bloodbath: Yes, we will explain a lot tonight, and we hope this in some way makes up for the lack of an actual card this week, but the ring techs are hard at work preparing the UEW arena for the big show, and we wanted to give the wrestlers a week to heal anyways before they had to fight at Extreme Pain.
Marcus: Alright, on with the previewing! We'll start tonight with the big 6 man Tornado Tag match between The Extreme Icons and The Dark Alliance. This was originally a feud between Justin Sane and Hunter, but the stables were pretty much dragged into this. lets go back a few weeks ago and show you what we mean.
---Clip from WNC 12/30/98---
Marcus: Fury getting to his feet first, and now Hunter getting to his. Fury takes a swing at Hunter, Hunter ducks, and kicks Fury in the stomach... POWERBOMB! and... wait a minute, Justin Sane is coming down the ramp! Justin Sane sprinting into the ring, he slides in, Hunter turns around, and... THAT'S INSANE! Justin Sane hits it! the ref now calling for the bell!
DING DING DING
Rick Cobbs: Here is your winner, as a result of a disqualification... HUNTER!
Bloodbath: What is this all about? Justin Sane hits "That's Insane" on Hunter, and now he's taking off! he just cost Eden Fury the match!
---End of Clip---
---Clip from WNC 1/6/99---
Marcus: Ring King hit hard, he looks to be knocked out! Justin Sane now coming in, and... wait a minute, there's Hunter! he's out for revenge! Hunter from out of the crowd, he grabs Justin Sane as he was getting into the ring, and he pulls him down off the apron and starts delivering rapid fire punches to his face!
---End of Clip---
---Clip from WNC 1/13/99---
Marcus: Justin Sane gets a shoulder up! Hunter now going outside to get a chair! he's got one, and... wait a minute, here comes the rest of the Dark Alliance! The Albino Prince and Wraith are out here now... and here come the Extreme Icons! Ring King and Carl Aldrich rush to the ring, and they attack the Dark Alliance! Hunter is watching all this in the ring, he turns around... and Justin Sane nails Hunter's chair with a jumping savate kick! The chair nails Hunter in the face!
Bloodbath: Justin Sane now placing the chair in the middle of the ring, and picks up Hunter and puts him in a fireman's carry... THAT'S INSANE! right on the chair! He goes for the cover, Wraith now in the ring!
REF: 1......2.....
Marcus: Wraith kicks Justin Sane in the head! the ref calls for the bell, and the ring fills up with the Extreme Icons and the Dark Alliance!
DING DING DING
Bloodbath: The Icons and the Alliance are brawling now, refs are rushing to the ring trying to break this up, the bell keeps ringing, but that's about as effective as flicking the lights on and off in grade school when the kids are talking! the refs are trying to pull this apart, they're just getting thrown aside, now we got more security, basically rent-a-cops, and they're getting in there, and this is now sort of dying down, they're just now yelling at each other.
---End of Clip---
Bloodbath: As you can see, this one has really heated up, and all 6 men will fight in a 6 man Tornado Street Fight Match. This means there will be trash cans in and out of the ring, as well as some broken bottles, to sort of recreate a street type thing, and the wrestlers are supposed to come out as they would dress on the street, no tights or costumes really. You can wear anything you want, brass knucks, heavy boots, loaded gloves, belts, whatever. All 6 men will wrestle at once, no tagging in or anything like that, you can go whereever you want in the ring area, falls count anywhere in the ring area itself. It should be one hell of a match.
Marcus: Oh yeah, and there's some guys in there that know extreme. On one side, you got the Dark Alliance, which are also wrestlers in the HCW, and trust me, if you aren't extreme, you have no business being in the HCW. On the other side, we have Ring King, a man who has wrestled in numerous extreme matches in Japan, and Justin Sane, who seems to love pain, and doesn't care wether the guy he's facing is bigger or not, he just wants to fight, and he doesn't go anywhere without that cane of his. As for Aldrich, I don't know, I haven't really seen him do anything extreme, but I'm sure if he's friends with Ring King and Justin Sane he must know a thing or two about bleeding.
Bloodbath: Alright, lets move on to another grudge match. It'll be Oatmeal vs "Big Nasty" JC Rhymes. Prestige Power and Pain claim to have run Oatmeal out of town the first time, have decided to target Oatmeal again now that he's back. Oatmeal is a talented wrestler, but he'll be going in there against a man who is the PP&P Bodyguard, and almost has a 100 pound weight advantage, and a 6inch height advantage in "Big Nasty" JC Rhymes. Rhymes is a monster of a man. Oatmeal really has a tough task ahead of him with this one, especially if he has to contend with the entire PP&P, who are all extremely talented wrestlers.
---Clip from WNC 11/25/98---
Marcus: Wait a minute the curtain is opening, and... It's Prestige, Power and Pain! Ryhmes, Funk, and Cross now walking to the ring. Oatmeal sees them, and turns around to yell at them... Ego goes for a roll up!
REF: 1......2....
Bloodbath: Oatmeal kicks out, and Prestige, Power, and Pain keep moving towards the ring. Ego now throwing Oatmeal to the ropes, but Oatmeal reverses it, turns around and throws him the other way... and Ego collides with the ref! Cross now running towards the ring, he dives in, grabs the ref, and... TRANSLATOR!
Marcus: Well not a perfect one, usually it's done from the top, but it still gets the job done on a referee! Oatmeal now attacks Cross, he kicks him in the stomach, and... OATMEAL SPLASH! Now Funk and Rhymes hit the ring, and they both attack Oatmeal! Oatmeal is getting pounded on... now Justin Funk kicks Oatmeal in the stomach, and... THE BROKEN NECK! Oatmeal goes down, and Funk drags him to the corner...
Bloodbath: Elite Eric Ego is just standing around watching all this with a smug smile on his face. Rhymes now climbing to the top rope, and...... SENSATIONAL SPLASH! Now Prestige, Power, and Pain leave the ring to a lot of boos. Veronica now checking the Ref, trying to get him to come to, while Elite Eric Ego walks over to Oatmeal, picks him up, and puts him on the top rope... PEASANT PLUNGE! the Ref now finally just coming to, as Elite Eric Ego goes for the cover!
REF: 1......2......3
---End of Clip---
Marcus: That was from almost two months ago, that's why PP&P think they ran Oatmeal out. He is back though, and you know he wants this win, while I'm sure JC is just out there to try and injure Oatmeal.
Bloodbath: While we're on the subject of the PP&P, lets talk about the first title match, the Jr. Heavyweight Title Match, between the Challenger, Shank, and the Champion, Christian Cross. Christian Cross won the title in a Ladder Battle Royal at GoldRush 98, and has had a few title defences, including one already against Shank. Some say though that Shank was just not prepared for that match.
Marcus: What we got here is two psycotics. Shank is a former Mental patient, who comes from an Insane Asylum, and has to be escorted by two armed guards to the ring. Cross hasn't been in an asylum, but some think he probably should be. The guy enjoys pain, and just goes nuts when something doesn't go exactly his way. Lets show you how Shank got this title shot.
---Clip from WNC 01/20/99---
Bloodbath: LOOK OUT ENIGMA IS SETTING UP THE DAZED AND CONFUSED!.....He scoops up Shank....he has him right where he...LOOK OUT!!!! SHANK slipped through and landed on his feet! Enigma turns...Shank meets him with a kick to the nuts! Shank now flies out of the ring under the bottom ropes...and brings in the ladder...Enigma is down on his knees in pain...his face is undistinguishable beneath all the blood.
Marcus: Shank flattens out the ladder in the ring...Enigma is trying to create some distance...Shank right on him...grabs him by the shoulder...spins kicks the gut of Enigma...And sets up the ....BLOODY CRUCIFIX!!!!! HE HAS IT.....PERFECT...RIGHT ONT HE FUCKING LADDER!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!! BLOODY CRUCIFIX ON THE LADDER!!!!
Bloodbath: Shank crawls over and makes the cover....here's the ref.....
Ref: 1......2......3
DING DING DING
Rick Cobbs: Here is your winner... SHANK!
Marcus: OH MY GOD SHANK WINS IN A BLOODY BLOODY MATCH!!!
---End Clip---
Bloodbath: This is looking to be one hell of a Jr. Heavyweight Match.
Marcus: Oh yeah, it certainly is. While we're on the subject of Title Matches, Lets talk a bit about the Tag Team Title Match. This is one that really hasn't had much hype leading up to it, but it features the return of Blade and Havok, who are two extremely tough men.
Bloodbath: MooCow and Chip are always going to be considered the underdogs. MooCow is so small, it's very hard to consider him a legitimate competitor, let alone a champion. But him and Chip are the tag team champs, and this Sunday will be their toughest match to date. We don't really have any clips to show for this one, so lets just move on, shall we?
Marcus: Alright, moving on then, to the National Heavyweight Title Match. Elite Eric Ego, who has quite the win-loss record, will take on Phobos, who doesn't have quite the win-loss record Ego does, but he is the champ, and a damn good one at that.
---Clip from WNC 01/20/99---
Marcus: It's Prophet! Prophet coming to the ring, and he shoves Rhymes off the turnbuckle! Rhymes hits head first on the mat, and he is hurt! Moonlight is outside clapping and getting excited, Prophet now climbs into the ring, the ref is warning him and telling him to leave... Prophet picks the ref up in a Gorrila Press... and throws him out of the ring!
Bloodbath: Why the hell is he doing this? Rhymes is back to his feet, and Ego is watching this, looking confused. Rhymes comes at Prophet with a clothesline, but Prophet ducks, spins around, and kicks Rhymes in the stomach, and lifts him up... ARMAGGEDON! Ego still not knowing what the hell to do, as Prophet leaves! the ref coming to, and sliding back into the ring looking a little dazed, and Ego covers Rhymes!
REF: 1..........2..........3
DING DING DING
Rick Cobbs: Here is your winner... ELITE ERIC EGO!
Marcus: Ego wins! He's going to face Phobos for the National Title!
---End Clip---
Bloodbath: Some people feel Ego probably wouldn't have won this match if it weren't for Prophet and who knows what he's got against Stevie Rhymes, but maybe Prophet will show up and shed some light on this whole deal.
Marcus: This will be a test for Phobos though. Ego is a great wrestler, when he's not being so damn arrogant that is. Phobos knows though what he's up against, and won't underestimate Ego.
Bloodbath: Our next one is a huge grudge match. The Konvicted Felon vs "Dangerous" Donnie DeCosta.
Marcus: Donnie DeCosta came into the UEW offices demanding that if he were to join the UEW, he wanted a shot at Kon. DeCosta seems to believe that he is the greatest wrestler ever put on this earth, and that he calls the shots no matter where he is. Kon on the other hand knows his station in the big show, and that he's just some compton kid that got lucky by being able to kick some ass.
Bloodbath: And lets not forget that this match is a "Leaving the Ring is not Recommended" match. Another Marcus Williams original, ranking right up there with the Ladder and Table Battle Royals, the Hardware Store Match, and that amazing Falls Count anywhere Outside the Arena match last week.
Marcus: In case you missed last week, here's a clip of me explaining this match.
---Clip from WNC 01/20/99---
Marcus: Here's the deal! We're going to bring back the cage from the late night barfight, the one that goes all the way to the guard rails, but the ring will stay, and of course, there's no top on the cage, this ain't some sort of weird ass cell, we're trying to be original here! Anyways, once the cage is in place, all sorts of weird shit is going to be brought in, glass, barbed wire, explosives, maybe some fire, some mouse traps, some nails, some tacks, whatever we can find, we're going to put it all around the ring area! there won't be any space around the ring to walk, except for a small ramp for the wrestlers to get into the ring! basically, falling out of the ring, or even leaving the ring on your own might not be a good idea, because perhaps you'll step on a mine and glass will come flying into your face, or who knows! It'll be something to see I'll tell ya!
---End Clip---
Bloodbath: This stuff is going to be great. This could very well be the show stealer of the night. Not only did DeCosta demand this match, but he then decided to attack Kon during the #1 Contenders match 2 weeks ago. Lets take a look at that.
---Clip from WNC 01/13/99---
Marcus: It's Donnie De-freakin-Costa!!!! Decosta slides into the ring, taps Kon on the back....Kon turns...Kick to the gut! Decosta is flipping off the fans...Scoops up Kon into a running powerslam...It's the Devastator!!!!
AC: This is nuts!!! Decosta just nailed Kon with that deadly finisher of his...now he's pulling Funk over onto Kon...NO NO NO!!!
Bloodbath: Look at this shit the ref is up now....he is in position...
AC: Fuck this!
Ref: 1.......2.......3
---End Clip---
Marcus: And now, moving on to the actual Main Event. Funk vs AC. I guess that clip we showed last week also shows how Funk got here: With help from DeCosta. Funk is a great wrestler though, and has a very good chance of taking that belt away from AC. But AC has a new ace up his sleeve too...
---Clip from WNC 01/20/99---
AC: Even though it is an easy task I am not out here to mock the choad Phobos. I am here rather, to make a very important statement, to one Justin Funk and his little band of "PUDS PANZIES AND PIXIES" I know that not a damn one of you has nut one towards facing me man to man. And I know that Funk is too damn dangerous a competitor to try to take on and cover my ass at the same time...So guess what folks...AC has felt the need to bring in a partner.
*There is a mixed reaction from the crowd*
AC: Oh now folks don't worry you all know this guy. He has literally set rings aflam all across the US and Canada. This guy is a Superstar, and he is here to help me keep the biggest band of fudge packers and mother fuckers off my back and let me kick Justin Funk's ass like only I can without having to watch my back. Funk, you know this guy....Cross you know him too, so do you Rhymes, and you too, Parker....I am done teasing you...Here he is the LORD OF THE FLAME.....AKONA!!!!!!!!
Marcus: Holy Shit!
*THE FANS ROAR IN APPROVAL! Akona strides out of the curtain in a pimped out suit and tie in all black with a dark pair of thin rimmed sunglasses, he has a big smile on his face and pats AC on the shoulder as AC cheers along with the crowd.*
Akona: Folks we didn't come here to interrupt, but we just had to let you know. With me at AC's back, there is no one in the UEW, that will ever get AC with a cheap one, and anyone that know's AC knows that is the ONLY way you will ever get close enough to him to do any damage, cause one on one, AC will beat anyone....anyone...
*points to Bloodbath.*
AC: Heh heh heh...Got that right. Ain't that so Old timer?
Bloodbath: Hey the sun even shine's on a dog's ass sometimes, apparently on a horse's ass too.
*AC holds up a little finger signal to Bloodbath, then pats Akona on the back and the two retreat out of the arena.*
---End Clip---
Bloodbath: Akona, a man who has been away from the sport for a while is now back and looks better than before. Akona was a force to reckon with back in the NWF days, but never really got his big chance. I don't know his full intentions here in the UEW at the moment, but his first priority is to back up AC. Funk has the entire PP&P at his side, and I'm sure he'll have them backing him up for this match, but this match MUST HAVE A WINNER. No Disqualifications of any kind, and no countouts. If both men go down and can't get up, I'll go in there myself and pick them up so they can continue.
Marcus: Ok folks, that pretty much wraps it up for the Preview Show, I hope you enjoyed it, and we'll see you Sunday for Extreme Pain '99!
